GLEE 2008

Initial estimates were that both visitors and exhibitors were down on last year, however our decision to move into the Landscaping Hall was vindicated and we obtained a significant increase in enquiries over last year.

Enquiries ranged from Garden Centres, Builders Merchants and volume landscapers.

Rolawn will once again be exhibiting at GLEE, which is held at the NEC Birmingham from 21st to 23rd September 2008.

Following the launch of Rolawn’s lawn seed and fertiliser range at GLEE 2007, this year we will be launching our expanded range of specialist topsoils and bark.

Free Words Exhibition

Rolawn turf and topsoil will be featured in an exhibition by the Korean-born British artist Francesca Cho at the Mayfair Library from 16th to 31st July 2008.

‘Free words’ explores the censored word, printed matter and use of language as means of expression, through the interpretations of five artists:

Marisol Cavia
Francesca Cho
Sumer Erek
Marko Stepanov
Katie Sollohub

During the second week work created by local children will also be shown.

Francesca has used Rolawn turf in her installations on several occasions, most recently at the Bluebird in Chelsea.

Jackie’s retirement

Jackie Parry, Rolawn’s Credit Controller, retired recently after working at Rolawn for 20 years. Paul Bray presented her with gifts from colleagues and the company, including a digital camera and gardening equiment.
